Hillwood (2014) > Design + Construct

Located on the upper floor of the existing house, this ensuite has direct access onto a private deck and is surrounded by farmland. Left in 100% control of design direction, this ensuite bathroom renovation was inspired by its setting in natural farm setting and clients love for football. The introduction of louvered windows provides natural ventilation which, combined with the floor heating, allows the bathroom to remain free from condensation.

Smoked Cambia Poplar timber and tiles create a robust yet elegant atmosphere, creating moments of ‘touch’ as the tile wall integrates timber to create a ‘football change room’ inspired bench seat. The double sink functionally suits the couple, while a third mirror was requested by the client.
